The F Word
Interview with Leichenengel

Welcome to another edition of The F Word. On this edition, i have an interview with Leichenengel, a person with a big community spirit. :D Without any more ado, here's my interview with her. :eager:
:icondahrplz::icondahrplz::icondahrplz::icondahrplz::icondahrplz:

Can you please introduce yourself?

Of course I can - but if I do, that is the question :paranoid::lol:
My Name is Rike. I was born on 21st of January 1987 in Bad Pyrmont/Germany. Currently I live at Detmold/Germany. I guess that states that I am German :XD:

What was the first thing that made you attracted to Fractal Art?

Uhh...the fascination started back when I was 13 or 14 when I came across Fractal Wallpapers while searching for some with google. I was just stunned by the complex patterns and structures while still being abstract images. The real attraction/addiction started when I joined dA and came across people using Apo. I can't even remember the name of the first Fractalist I talked to because afterwards I was so much into it. My brain seemed to have deleted it to have more space for learning to create Fractals myself

What kind of fractal do you like the most, and why?

I actually don't have a special fractal style that I like the most - there are soooooo many that are just fractalicious and stunning and awesome. I guess I have an affinity for abstract thingies like OutsideFate creates. I can also tell that I love details - the more details the better, but it's all about color as well. While I enjoy a few black/white/gray/silver pieces done by Jimpan1973 I prefer vivid colors.

Who is your biggest influence in creating fractal and art in general?

Actually nobody special. Actually everything that inspires/interests me :D Last year in spring there was a guy I loved with all I had to give and yeah he didn't want me. Thatwas something that inspired me a lot to that time, but also songs, poems/stories/books, nature or works of other people. Actually there is so much beautiful and inspiring stuff out there...if I only had the time to do EVERYTHING that comes to my mind :XD:

What does your art mean to you?

Oh well - depending on if it is dedicated to someone or just something random more or less :D If it's a GiftArt or dedicated it means more to me than something that I randomly did because of boredom. Also the pieces that got inspired by emotions mean more to me than others. Let's say my art means enough to me to share it on here - oh well and if I am lucky I might start an apprenticeship in the field of art or design someday...who knows :D So yeah - actually my art means a lot to me, as a hobby, as self-therapy or just to relax from something...art is a wonderful invention ^^

Can you please tell us about your creative process?

Oh well. Back when I began (with Apo 207) I just sat there and played with the flames. Later when I was just not good with the Triangle thing I mostly used Scripts and the Mutation window and what I liked I did render. The same when I started with UF. Today it's actually not much different. I chose a Formula and just start to try out and whatever I like I save to render later. The only things I create with a plan are those that are inspired by something that creates a certain picture in my head. Sometimes I'm able to realize that picture - sometimes it's only 50% of what I ACTUALLY had in mind and yeah those that don't come out the way I imagined at all aren't even finished in most cases...
But most of the time there isn't a real process xD I just sit down, open a program and create :D

How do you see the future of fractal art?

Actually I'm not someone living in the future - I'm sometimes living in the past but barely/never in the future. But what I imagine as a futuristic fractal is a fractal that is created with sound (of music). Instead of basic flames or basic formulas you open an mp3-file (or whatever music convertion will be up to date then) and let the programm create a basic flame with the impulses of the music and then there should be options to edit and to tweak and to idk what else...but yeah that would be an awesome idea...too bad I'm less than a n00b in coding :D

Do you enjoy creating any other types of art?

YES! while most of my over 1700 deviations are fractals I also enjoy doing Photomanipulations, Photography and playing with PhotoShop and/or Gimp. I once tried on Emotes but I'm too impatient for what I would like to create - that is also the reason why I switched to UF - because I was too impatient for Apo :D Well actually I'm some kind of Jack of all trades....I always try something new. At the moment I'm planning to try out the program "Music Painter" by magneticblue I do something new until I lose interest and then either go back to my other artforms or start something new again :XD:

If there was a single person you would like to give credit to for getting you started on your current path of Fractal, who would it be?

My CURRENT path? Well that would be my UF-path and the person I would want to credit for getting me started with how to use UF is:
:iconmehrdadart:
I don't even remember where I met him, but he was always helpful when I had basic questions about UF and how to create stuff with it

Anything else you'd like to say?

I want to say THANKS to:
- my Friends and Watchers for their support
- SuicideBySafetyPin for being a great Fractal CV
- NatalieKelsey for my first DD and
- guagapunyaimel for chosing me for this Interview :D

If allowed I would also like to invite EVERY Fractalist to my new group
FractalLists
Also pure Appreciators(NonFractalists) of FractalArt are invited to follow us by watching :)

Thank you so much Rike.
